NETASPA – A short recap for the anxious

I am a very nervous person. I’m good at masking and appearing otherwise, but I’m usually filled with a decent mix of apprehension, self doubt, anxiety, and fear. NETASPA was one of the first events I went to without a clear idea of what to expect, and it ended up better than I envisioned. When I go to any event, I research it heavily beforehand. I find maps and programs from previous years, I find people that have attended and read their experiences, and I try to make up a plan for how I’m going to handle the different aspects…

Yarnable – the cute little subscription box that made me go “meh”

This year is the year of trying new things. I currently have a subscription for Owl Post, which delivers hand dyed yarn and matching stitch markers every month. Weird Sisters Wool Emporium – Owl Post? What is this, a yarn subscription for nerds?

Weird Sisters Wool Emporium is a fun site that I’ve been happy to buy from in the past – and I’m currently a subscriber of their Owl Post subscription box. The main Weird Sisters website is a glorious display of fandom and geekery. It has collections of pins and stickers and hand dyed yarn colorways inspired by some of our favorite universes growing up, as well as entirely new topics and graphics that the owners created themselves. I highly recommend taking a look at the website, and while you’re there, let’s pop in and see what’s going on with their…
